Mark A. Iben has joined Control Infotech as Regional Sales Representative for Houston and the Gulf Region. Siemens Industry, Inc. recently chose Control Infotech, Inc. to design and implement a plant-wide power monitoring system for their project at an Ohio steel mill. The system gathers data from Schweitzer protective relays and ION meters located it electrical rooms throughout the facility, integrating this information into a PLC-based data concentrator via Modbus TCP/IP. It displays and reports the data utilizing a Wonderware Archestra server / multi-client system.

Siemens Energy, Inc. chose Control Infotech, Inc. as the DCS system supplier for two 100 megawatt gas turbine power plants for their customer. Control Infotech’s scope includes: coordination of 8 turbine generators per plant, plant-wide DCS integration, plant-wide switchgear automation & control, plant-wide power monitoring, plant-wide SCADA, 61850 networking to protection relays and Modbus TCP/IP networking for the balance of the plant.
